Komodo Close-up

A menacing Komodo dragon tastes the air while a trail of bacterial drool hangs from his mouth. In order to take this photograph I mounted my camera on two wheels that I took from my desk chair and then used a monopod to push the rig along the ground. I was thus able to wheel my camera up to the dragon whilst remaining a safe distance away from this opportunistic predator.
